Book Review Competition “Bookmarked- Let the Words Sink in”

 The Department of Political Science, St Xavier’s College, Jaipur organised its first ever Book Review Competition on “Bookmarked- Let the Words Sink in” on 6th January, 2021. The competition not just adhered to the technicalities of reviewing a book but also urged the participants to share their thoughts and feelings pertaining to a work of their choice which came under the following genres: Non – Fiction, Poetry, Academic, Autobiographies and Biographies. The esteemed judge for the event was Rev Fr Dr Raymond Cherubin who assessed the zealous participants depicting their views and thoughts on a book of their choice.

It was an effort to indulge the participants in a discussion upon various works that are intellectually enthralling and highly thought-provoking which is a win-win situation for everybody. The competition was commenced with the knowledge provoking and encouraging remarks of Principal Rev Fr Dr A Rex Angelo who urged the youth to go deeper and deeper in book-reading which is the real method of personality development for every generation. 

It was followed by creative and academic competition in which participants from different colleges and departments contributed with their best presentations. It was such a creatively taken activity of book review that made it really hard to find out the best presenter.
