DARE TO STAR

St. Xavier’s college, Jaipur on 'date' organized an event 'Dare to star' via as part of 'Exordium: a political discourse', which was held from 3rd to 5th of February 2021. In this event, participants designed drafts for revolutions, which included the scenario in which the revolution would take place and what would be its outcome. This event focused on and harnessed the critical evaluation skills of the participates. The students were free to employ any method to convince the judges of the effectiveness of their revolution. It was a 2-hour event. And participates could present their ideas as units (individual or team). Ideas from each unit were judged based on two criteria: firstly, the presentation of the revolution which carried 40 points, and secondly the scenario in which the revolution would take place which carried 10 points; summing up to a total of 50 points. Units were free to present their revolution by any creative means, like ppts, skits, etc., for which they were allotted 10 minutes. As for the scenario of their revolution, units were judged based on the portrayal of the cultural and economic aspects of society, how apt is the environment for the revolution, failure of which political institution has led to the need for revolution etc.
