EXORDIUM- VELEDICTORY CEREMONY

 The three day Fest “Exordium- A Political Discourse 2021” was organized by the Department of Political Science of St. Xavier’s College, Jaipur on 3rd, 4th and 5th February, 2021. This virtual event commenced on 3rd February in the presence of Jesuit fathers, esteemed guests, faculty members and participants. Rev Fr Varkey Perekatt SJ, Manager extended his blessings for all the participants and highlighted the importance of such academic events for the overall development of the youth.  In his welcome address Rev Fr Dr A Rex Angelo SJ, Principal appreciated the theme and emphasizedupon the requirement of research in higher education that is only possible by encouraging the students through such events. 

The Fest began with “Roll on the Mic” a talk show on the theme “Investigating Realities in Social Sciences: Methodologies and Concernsduring which a panel discussion with experts Dr Amrita Shilpi and Dr SmitaTiwary from Delhi University and Mr Rahul Pawa, NCPCR, New Delhi. Panelists drew attention towards the research areas in social sciences, methodology to be used and requirement of practical research. Events like Dare to Star, Draw Your Design, Voice of the Elected (Mock Parliament), Views in Parley, Surveil: Surpass the Veil and Devise a Tabloid followed by National Symposium which attracted a huge number of participants not only from India but also from University of Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan, Wuhan University of Technology, China, Escola Secundaria Vergilio Ferreira, Portugal,Middle Tennessee State University, USAand Makerere University, Uganda. This academic fest offered a platform for participants to showcase their creativity and harness their latent talents. 

Fest was concluded on optimistic note by the chief guests MrRajkumar Sharma, MLA, Nawalgarh and MrArun Sharma, Global Automation Business Head, Fresh & Pure in the Valedictory function. They applauded the department for successfully organizing the fest and encouraged the students for more such events. During the valedictory ceremony winners of various events were announced.
