VOICE OF THE ELECTED

St. Xavier's college, Jaipur organized 'Voice of the elected' an academic simulation of Lok Sabha on 4th of February. It was a 2-hour event. The event included 30 participants and each one of them was allotted one portfolio. A proposed bill on ‘One Nation, One Election’ was already given to the participants. They were evaluated on several grounds, including, maintaining decorum, observance of parliamentary procedures, the subject of questions put forward and the answers there of, the delivery of the speech, standards of debate, and overall performance. Apart from this adherence to the ideology of the allotted political party and the use of chits were also given weightage for the final evaluation. This opportunity helped the participants in developing opinions on current public issues, respect, and tolerance for the views of others, apart from giving insight into the working of Lok Sabha.
